Luol Deng has recently admitted to a friend that he is shocked at the state of the Cleveland Cavaliers organization, stating “the stuff going on in practice would never be tolerated by the coaching staff or front office back in Chicago. It’s a mess”. Coming from a winning franchise in Chicago, Deng admits that he is shocked at the culture of his new team. He describes a situation with serious disciplinary issues, where players do as they please and the coaching staff has little control. Despite their losing ways, players continue to party it up, dabbing into nightlife festivities before games and after losses. Problems are persisting in the locker room involving internal fights and players threatening not to take the court. Clearly, Mike Brown has lost total control of his players and saying this situation is a mess would be grossly underrated.
This is disturbing news for an organization that seriously thinks they have a chance to entice LeBron James to return and fulfill his promise in bringing a Championship to Cleveland.
Forget LeBron, if these rumors persist they’ll have difficulty getting any NBA star to seriously consider taking their talents to Cleveland.
